I bought a pair of those new version 2 Grey VJ LOPs and they seem to be immense, i mean £50 a pair rather than £70 and they look like retro adidas training shoes (kind of...) I know everyones feet are different and not all shoes suit everyone but these are actually the most comfortable shoe i have tried on for ages!
Has anyone else tried/purchased them...would like to see how others think of them.
Cheers.

i like VJs. especially the older styles. a couple of years ago i found some called VJ classic or something which were a bit like the olway shoes with all tough uppers. pretty retro. they lasted ages, over a year anyway. it seems like the newer models are built to fall apart in some way so you have to buy more. the club got us pairs of the new integrators and after a month the rubber studs round the dobs were falling apart a bit, daina's were the same. don't know if its just cos of the hard terrain round here or running round hard tracks to training all the time but my old integrators are outlasting the new ones.
interestingly.

thats exactly it, integrators are jobby full stop recently, dobs fall out, stubs fall off, sole comes away from the upper around toes or instep, don't think its just because of the terrain as I haven't done all that much o-ing whatsoever in the past year and mine are in tatters. as were the previous 2 pairs.

with the terrain i meant the ground's really hard round here so maybe that's wearing the studs down before the dobs kind of thing rather than that the terrain is tough. actually the forests are very wet right now but the last few months its been dry plus there's lots of rocky hill tops and asphalt tracks and that. but anyway o shoes should be built for all this kind of stuff.

It's nice to hear good word about the VJ LOPs as I've found a pair for £35 but wasn't sure if they were a good shoe.
Think I might go for it!

Have to say that i bought a pair of VJ Falcons at the O ringen and the soles are starting to break away around the studs already. The VJ LOP are just double stitched rather than VJs which are triple stitched but they have the same soles.
I think i might have to think about getting a harder wearing shoe, but last time i got silva bavk in 2000. I thought the grip wasn't to great. what are the new silva like these days for grip? or does anyone else have recommendation for wide fitting o shoes?
