Which shoes for Urban Racing?
When there's a mix of road/pavement running and parkland to negotiate which shoes do folk like to/recommend for, competing in?

depends what is meant by parkland as well as how wet/boggy said parkland is.
if it's all grass and not too boggy i'd just wear my trainers but if I think I'm going to slide about a lot in trainers then I'd wear my swoops.

I find that concrete with any amount of water on it is pretty lethal if wearing swoops.

I orienteer ( conventional - forest / woods ) in Swoops, but I find the "dobs not allowed" confusing for urban races - do they means Swoops and the like which have a studded sole? - otherwise I might well consider running in them for urban races.

'dobs' are metal studs in my book, so swoops are ok. I have run a few urban-ish races in them

I wear swoops when dry but they are terrible when the pavements are the slightest bit damp.
