If it's a DNS change then you won't get it until which ever your local DNS server picks up the change being propogated, which may be up to 2 days.

Yeah, but the issue here is that both myself and the good mr samsonite use the same internet connection. He can use nopesport.com, I can't.
Oh, and please tell me you didn't pay the domain snipers for their 'services' without regaining full control of the domain. I'm guessing there was no official contract either, meaning they're free to screw you as much as they like.

this probably has no use whatsoever, but i am looking in canary islands, and .com doesn't work for me, .co.uk seems ok.
if money is a genuine problem, can we not do a save nopesport collection? i for one would be happy to send a contribution. you can't put a price on work avoidance. although i suppose the chance of cold hard cash actually going towards internet solutions is small...
maybe buying a t-shirt to support the cause would be safer.

yes by all accounts please buy some merch, there's not a whole lot of tee's left but it'll be getting chilly soon and you'll be glad of our wonderful hoodies, even in the canary isles
And if anyone else would like to throw money our way, we have very reasonable advertising prices, that is of course useful when people can actually see the website.

as i will be back in the uk permanantly from next week it could be a shrewd move. i can't wait to go orienteering again actually!

well if it is actually sorted (and i hope to [nope] that it is) and it took a while for everyone to feel the effects of it being [nope]d then it'll probably take a while to be sorted for everyone.

Weird. Sounds like he's got a cached DNS somewhere. Haven't played with MacOS X much and it's been a few years since I used Unix reguarly but on PC you use nslookup /flushdns. I'm pretty sure nslookup exists on Unix (but prepared to be wrong) so give it a go. That is if you want your Nopesport.com broken?

Use lookupd -flushcache on OS X.
DNS does now appear to be fixed:
$host http://www.nopesport.co.uk
http://www.nopesport.co.uk has address 193.22.244.99
$host http://www.nopesport.com
http://www.nopesport.com has address 193.22.244.99
