dear all,
i have a question. The next few weeks sees my season condensed into a big six weeks block. the list reads as such
11/12th March BUSA
18/19th JOK Chasing Sprint (M Open) and National Event (M21L)
25th/26th Spring Cup Individual (Mens Elite 2)and Mens Relay
1st/2nd/3rd April British Champs (Elite) Relays (Men's Open) and Time Trial
8th/9th April nowt
15th/16th/17th April JK Indiviudal (Elite) and Relays (Men's Open)
22nd/23rd - nowt
29th/30th Tio Mila
now my question is how should i train in the interim five days between races. I feel i should be training constitently during these periods of time but am unsure of how to go about it. Its obvious i shouldn't be doing the mileage that i would be doing during the winter and that mondays will be recovery jogs and fridays will be off with travel/rest days but any ideas for tuesday wednesday thursday?
any recommendations/key sessions would go down a treat plus any advice you have will be gratefully recieved
yours

i havn't checked the ip address but i think i can guess who it is harry... see if you can!
here is a session i sometimes do on the wednesday between two big racing weekends: tempo->speed
run for 9-7-5-3-2-1.5-1 mins with 90secs recovery each time, at as high a pace as you can sustain for the duration of the interval. this session combines my usual tues/thurs sessions into one.
however this year i think im fit enough that i can train through for the rest of my season - my next target is a 10km race in may, o races are just good tempo training for that.
