VO2 testing

If you get the testing done by a good physiologist they should provide detailed analysis of how you should train to improve VO2 max and lactate thresholds (what heart rate thresholds, how long etc...) I'm not sure how useful this is if you don't use a heart rate monitor - personally I can't understand how people can do it using perceptions of effort - mine change depending on what mood I am in when I go out for a run!
