I just thought I would give a plug to the UKCC level 1 coaching course at Shorne Country Park on 24th/25thSept / 1st Oct at Shorne Country Park, Gravesend. I think this may be the first UKCC course held in the South East so a bit more accessible to SE orienteers and those living in southern East Anglia. Only 10 minutes drive from the Dartford Crossing. Alternatively you could get the train to Ebbsfleet (17 minutes from St Pancras on the javelin train) and arrange a lift from someone else on the course (I'm sure this could be organised).
The course is being held in a nice room at the top of the visitors centre. There's also a nice cafe and some interesting features for the South East... and you wont be missing too many big events at this time of year.
Further details on the coaching calendar .... which of course is terribly easy to find on the BOF website Just select officials, then coaches, then coaching courses.
