My stepson came home from school yesterday, going on about naughty numbers. Anyone have any ideas what this is? I've googled it, and lots of clubs are doing them, but have not found any explanation as to what it is.
Thanks

Re: Naughty Numbers
A 3 x 3 grid (i.e nine controls) numbered 1 through 9.
Rows 5 to 10 metres apart, depending on available space
numbers "randomly" scattered in the rows
Map is white paper with 9 numbered circles plus start and finish symbols.
Gets youngsters used to:
Map orientation
Electronic Punching
Running against each other
Download and splits comparison
All on part of an open playing field
The youngsters (and a lot of older persons) enjoy it immensely.

Re: Naughty Numbers
My son and I had a go at this at a recent event where it was offered instead of a string course. We both got quite addicted to it and spent ages sprinting round trying to outdo each other's times. So much more fun than the usual cones exercises for orientating your map!

Re: Naughty Numbers
How interesting! Must remember that one.
But I don't think I'd call it Naughty Numbers.
