running undergarments
What are the best (mens / boys) undergarments to wear for running in this cold weather? Long sleeved lifa wear, normal t-shirts, sleeveless or string vests? and long johns, tight boxers or y-fronts? Maybe set up a poll?

Re: running undergarments
Personally I wear a long sleeve baselayer and some variety of lycra running shorts under my O kit. If it got really cold I might consider 3/4 tights as well (I use loose fitting O-trousers). Used to use synthetic briefs, but find the running shorts much more comfortable - in fact I wear those whether it's cold or hot.

I think I know why the reason for our differences. Your "old days" are obviously a lot longer ago than mine

Re: running undergarments
Why do you men need thermal trousers etc, have you got something I haven't I wear ordinary O trousers and don't get cold and I know I don't move as quick as you. I agree that a little extra on top is useful I wear a vest top and long sleeve O top with a wind proof cagoule at night. Perhaps it's my extra fat that keeps me warmish. THe key thing for me is g loc=ves because if I have cold hands that is it.

Re: running undergarments
If its cold I wear a HH thermal underneath my o top.
If its extra cold I wear gloves and an extra pair of HH socks underneath my usual long o socks.
If its extra extra cold I wear HH thermal boxers .. nice and warm
