boosch™ Has been introduced to Iraq, there are a few people here who deserved a big up boosch™ so all the wee Indian guys who cook and serve my meals all get a big boosch™ when I go in for meal time.
I've run out of Snus and am currently waiting to get out to the Norweigen camp for a resupply. Could have done with a fat wodd yesterday after the Bombings here, not the nicest of thins to be woken up to first thing in the morning as the whole cabin shakes and windows smash as the shock wave of a car bomb passes by, that is when you need a snus!
I'm guessing Donkeys too for dky's but who knows what is going on in the world of text speech!

A way to read text messages just by touch has been developed by researchers in Germany.
They created a mobile with tiny arrays embedded with moving pins that rise and fall under a person's fingertips.
This allows a person to perceive a text message as a 'tactile melody', said the scientists from Bonn University.

CJ: I remember reading that Scandanavia has lower instances of lung cancer than most of Europe, but slightly higher instances of mouth cancer, and this was attributed to more people snusing than smoking.
But that was in New Scientist, so it may well be just be a
Edit: a medline keyword search for "snus" brings up a lot of interesting looking papers. Might have a look through to see what I can see later.
Looking through the abstracts seems to support the claim of no significant increase in risk of mouth cancer. Except in one really old dude:

Looking through the abstracts seems to support the claim of no significant increase in risk of mouth cancer. Except in one really old dude:
We report the case of a 90-year-old man who developed a localized squamous cell carcinoma in the gingival fold under the upper lip, at the exact place where he had regularly placed loose oral snuff for 70 years. Although this is a reminder of a prevailing cancer risk, the time frame indicates that the risk is slight. This is consistent with recent epidemiological reports regarding the minor risk of snuff-associated cancer in the Scandinavian countries.

Right as i'm playing in the lovely (nice chairs) swedsih hospital of Lund i thought i'd ask the docs there about the snuss.
Some consultants have it in most of the day here!!!!!
Anyway...cancer.
Okay so i don't have any papers or links i just have passed on knowledge for people who have read such things. (so they said anyway and i belive them).
Nailest is right, scandiland does have lower lung cancer and higher mouth cancer. However just because one can attribute this to snuss doesn't mean that this is necessarily the cause.
SNUSS
studies have generally shown no real significant increase in mouth cancers with poeple who partake in snuss. This is an issue of controvesy as "2 out of 10 or so of these studies" (as it was explained to me) showed an increase in mouth cancer. But questions lie over thier funding by anti-snussers and some of the methods used.
Snuss is asscciated with a reduction in life expectancy. But this could be due to a number of other compounding factors, social class, diet, exercise, diabetes, alcohol, smoking etc. There is an extensive list. I must strees this does in NO WAY show that if you take snuss you will die earlier.
SMOKING
This is bad for you.
Curious thing about scandiland is that the reduction in lung cancers don't correspond to the reductions in smoking. One of the arguemenst that the tabbacco companies use.
Was now going to write about why the govenment wants you to smoke but it would just be a rant and i'm sure you don't give a monkeys.
ALL IN ALL
Snuss has not been shown to be real bad for you yet. More reasearch is in teh pipeline though. My doctors last words were "everything causes cancer so snuss must i guess."

I'd say fair play to that quote and could I suggest it to be [nope] quote of the day!!everything causes cancer so snuss must i guess
But they did take the cancer warnings of the tubbs because there was no evidence of it being cancer causing. And if it chills you out a wee bit at times of stress then you might live a day longer due to be more relaxed and less stressed and up tight about daily goings on.
Snus in moderation/ binge snussing!
You can't expect to reach the top without a little climbing!
