Just read about this on Attackpoint.
European Space Agency's release of what they call 'hiking maps' of small areas of Mars:

This one is 1:50,000.As they have done the equivalent of producing a map from a Photogrammetric (P.G.) Plot, how soon will it be before we can get an orienteering map?
For the O map, would the traditional yellow for open areas have to be swapped for red?

How disappointing - when I saw the subject I thought someone had managed to secure a high-profile map sponsor for a change....
A few years ago a "Halo" bar came out - HALO tried to get sponsorship but to no avail. Might have had a better chance with the computer game...?

If someone sorts out a catching features (http://www.catchingfeatures.com/) map and event then orienteering could become the first ever sporting event on Mars.
However, looking at the map it may be a bit boring.
