I was watching Horizon the other night when this woman doctor was testing the claims of certain cosmetcs and things. She was saying that nothing really worked in the anti-wrinkle line except some nasty medicines - which you wouldn't want to take anyway. BUT one over the counter cream was baffling scientists with it's properties which seemed genuine which was interesting as it was a reasonably priced product (some of these things actually retail for £150 a jar)
Well they flashed a picture of it onto the screen and I cursed not having my glasses on - but it seemd to be Boot no7!
This morning there was a big article in the paper saying the whole country was sold out of this product which could not be had for love nor money But I had occasion to pop into Boots in Ledbury this morning and there was a whole shelf of it (they are such yokels in Ledbury no one watches Horizon or reads a paper )
So I thought "sod it I'll get 2" I get to he counter and the woman says - Oh that cream (I tremble in case she stops me buying 2) Its 3 for the price of 2.
So now I have enough wonder cream to last to the end of the year by which time I should look 35 - and if I don't like it I can probably sell it on Ebay and buy enough wine to make me feel like I'm 35

I think it's going to be quicker, cleaner and cheaper than rolling around in a Swedish bog for an hour a day - and I fail to see how a tussle with a Swedish girl is going to make me feel any better - she'll be younger, stronger and better looking than me
I was just amused at the thought of women beseiging Boots beauty counters all over the country - and in Ledbury they're giving it away
ER - well it's early days yet but i don't think i look any older than when I made the first application (in the car outside the shop) this morning
It's called Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum - and it's a damn site cheaper than the Clinique stuff I've been using

Quote from Reuters today:
Although a one-per-customer policy was in force, dozens of bottles soon popped up on Web site eBay, with prices as high as 75 pounds for the 30 ml container, compared with the 17-pound store price.
Get yourself on to the web Mrs H, you could make a killing!!

...and apparently they've been queuing since the early hours of this morning .... I on the other hand walked into my beloved Boots in Ledbury and picked one up with the rest of my shopping - which I will give to my sister for her birthday!
It's been a month now and I have been using it asiduously. nothing dramatic has happened but the general concensus was that I "don't look too bad"
I have to say I'm impresses that Boots didn't hoik the price themselves - some face creams are hundreds of pounds Infact you could still buy 3 for the price of 2 but it had to be a different No 7 product. [/

A friend told me she saw a similar programme the other night where they tested various anti-cellulite creams, varying in price from £10 to £*** per tub. The result was that the cheapest one "was the least waste of money"
