i think it would be better to do the elite, means you can have a nice burn up on the saturday which means you wont be tired to take on the 16km or so for sunday. if you do the long you will be too tired by the 2nd day runin to make a serious effort.... plus its what the people want

Don't listen to them Fred, the elite course is designed solely for girly girlies who can't hack running two long races in as many days
Although in my experience short races usually take more time to complete than long ones...
