Of course, why didn't we think of this?
Polonium 210 is such a widely available substance that it would obviously be the vehicle of choice for committing suicide.
After all, you would only need your own particle accelerator or nuclear weapons facility to manufacture it.
Time for the Met to cancel the investigation then - must have ingested this impossible to locate and extraordinarily difficult to manufacture material himself.
When I'm considering suicide I'll saunter down to Sellafield and buy some Polonium 210 - much less of a problem than buying paracetamol from the local chemist...
