Eddie Freemantle's nap for this years Grand National is Joss Naylor. The horse is named after a famous fell runner who you all know more about than me. Eddie's tips in the Observer have won the National for the last two years, and in the process lined my pockets with gold. Although, this is only a nap, not a guaranteed investment.

Now I wouldn't for one moment want you to think that I'm encouraging anyone into gambling. No no no, it's a mugs game for sure. However, if you did risk all your life's savings on this horse, then you could increase your wealth 25 times over ...

Aye, it seems that poor Joss Naylor is more destined for the glue factory than Grand National victory. He seemed to cannily stay out of trouble at the back of the field, but then just pulled up rather than romp through for victory. Oh well, good job that I put the bet on Joss Naylor for wor lass rather than for myself. I'd taken advanced odds after the Bechers chase for Amberleigh House at 25 /1 and Clan Royal at 20 /1, so the race wasn't a total waste of time ...
On a list of things you wished you'd never done, how high up do you reckon going the wrong way when leading the national ranks? But it's quite high on Liam Cooper list
