O-ringen

I was just perusing the O-ringen website where they have posted a plan of the C-Ort. I don't know what to be more excited about - the Tarzan Lane, the Diving Tank or the area set aside for Axe Throwing (at home I have to make do with any old bit of the garden )

Now I wonder what makes up the second sport in Biathalon orienteering ? any suggestions?

I've just seen something else - a whole pitch for "Bandy Activity" - that's Mr H. sorted then

I seem to remember that last year it was very similar to the ski biathlon, orienteering and shooting- run a couple of O loops and then shoot at a target with either a time penalty or extra loops if you missed. Some of the MDOC group gave it a go and enjoyed it.

Biathlon orienteering (OL-skytte etc) is really three events with the first being a line orienteering event (with a few map pin-positioning tasks along the way) followed by an ordinary orienteering course and then a bit of 22 rifle shooting. Somehow I managed to come in 4th position at the Göteborg district champs the day before the O-Ringen there. Brilliant fun but can't see it taking off in the UK so much as the range safety laws would make it hard to arrange. Still, could always go back to darts again.......
