Plea to selectors
Second at BUSA and fastest in the sprint at JOK; how much more does a girl have to do to catch the selector's eye?

controversial, but considering that the world cups in the UK (next year is it?) will be down south in similar areas to BUSA then i think she probably deserves at least an invitation to a squad weekend or something?

Ouch - that's a bit harsh.
Just look at the quality of the field in the women's event at BUSA, and see who she beat. I don't think you can say Longmoor is an area which doesn't require orienteering, the path networks in pasts were especially confusing and you had to slow down to make sure you weren't thrown off course by them. It's certainly an area where you can make mistakes if you are going too quickly.

has anyone ever noticed how the really world class orienteers never really feel the need to waste their time criticising other peoples abilities? they just get on with their own orienteering and quest for improvement. jamie is a good example, you'll struggle to find a nicer bloke.
mark take note.

Has anyone really notcied how the really world class orienteers dont go from being the best junior in the country to a fat beer monster in SE Asia.
