I'm not sure if this is breaking house rules, but it is for charity...
Tomorrow I am running a 10k around Weston Park Staffordshire to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and I'm after sponsorship, if anyone is feeling generous.
I know 10k isn't much for a lot of Nopers, but over the summer I was krocked by a viral illness for about 6 weeks, including a week in hospital while everyone else was enjoying the 6 Day. While they were trying to fix me and I wasn't getting better fast enough, all sorts of possibilities including Multiple Sclerosis and tumours were talked about, and I ended up having an MRI scan to be sure. Thankfully it was clear, and I slowly improved over the summer. I have now been off medication for about 2 months and feel "normal" again.
When I was lying flat on my back in my hospital bed, I decided that if everything turned out OK, I would need to do something worthy and challenging in celebration. The day I got my all clear, I entered a Cancer Research UK 10k run around Weston Park, Staffordshire, even though at that point walking as far as the toilet was a challenge! I've been training, but I'm out to finish rather than get a good time. I've never run a 10k before.
You can sponsor me securely on-line at:

So far I have raised about £450 from family, friends and colleagues (I've only used the on-line sponsorhip for friends who live miles away!). Please be generous if you can.
Thank you,
Cath.

Thanks to those who have been generous enough to donate to Cancer Research UK.
The multi-terrain course was not easy, but the sun shone a bit and I was really pleased to hit my target time, and was much, much nearer the front than the back (a rarity for me!).
You can still donate online at https://www.bmycharity.com/V2/cath
Thank you!
