Intriguing idea in last night's episode that the whole of Lost is a figment of Hurley's mental state - bit like a cross between 'Harvey' and 'A Beautiful Mind'. So does the countdown actually mean anything and why has Locke not said anything about the symbols on the wall?? Is anyone still watching?

As Henry said, those guys have serious trust issues. And he's been stoking the Jack/Locke rivalry.
Like bedders, I've seen to the end of the season, so I've stopped watching it every week. But I do recall the ep. If the island was a construct of Hurley's mind, would he be aware of it? Anyone heard of St. Elsewhere?
But I was more intruiged by Libby's appearance in the final scene. Not only for what it implies about her character, but about the flashbacks in general. Up until this point, we've never had cause to question the veracity of the flashbacks (except perhaps Claire's when she was kidnapped), and I always assumed that these were the characters own viewpoints (like Jin and Sun in seperate flashbacks giving different perspectives on the same events) but now we have a scene which is explicitly outside of Hurleys purview (no Dave), so can't be his viewpoint. Is it Libby's? Or someone else...

It's a magical world. Let's go exploring.

Do you believe it all happened, Bedders? Is Michael under the Others influence? Libby can't be dead just when Hurley has a chance for happiness and why hasn't Locke told anyone about the hieroglyphs yet? What about Henry eh?

Well my little Otaku,
this thread has been running for a whole year now.
I hope you are all throwing a big party.
perhaps you should do one of those little add up things they do with smokers;
If you hadn't been adicted to Lost look what you could have achieved by now .....

But why would we want to have done anything better with our time?
I had to watch last night's episode again, I still don't understand it. And next week's is awesome. Absolute perfection in a Lost shaped package. But when is the 3rd series coming out? Thats what I want to know...

Not being a scholar I had to look up Otaku and it isn't, as I originally thought, a Vic Reeves invention! Apparently Kitch you accuse me of being obsessed with Lost, something akin to being a 'fangirl' of 'anime'. To that end I have (briefly) changed my avatar to suit. Looking at it, it becomes obvious why I go for 'Lost' and the gorgeous Jack (although secretly I am a Locke fangirl!) Normal service will be resumed shortly.
