The Duncan was back on form letting Mr. Gibbs do all the navigating/map marking. He was also the slowest down the abseil at Sq 1...

Brooner passed out in the lounge of the bunkhouse wearing a Yeti/Big Bird/Sheepdog coat (hopefully there's some pics somewhere... )

And Pyro got told to get his ass back onto Nopesport and come back to the real world.

Oi Pyro!! watch it fella!!

We both marked the map up, i just ensured we had all controls!!!

I nav'd in the centre of town too, led the whole field to the first control, where much carnage ensued!!

I wasn't that slow, fogot my full finger gloves, so it hurt my poor wee hands!!!

Did you see my paper weight i've now got, its awesome.

i hope there are no pics anywhere thank you, i know there are some but y'd have to track down that leggy lass to get a hold of them. i hope nobody else has any. I totally need to get a jacket like that tho, who needs a sleeping bag when y've got that thing as a duvet!

as to the racing, phil moaning about the scale of my aerial photo o map - ok it was quite guestimated but at whatever time of night i was creating that i was past caring! And ta bruce for returning kites to the right places!

i'd recommend to anyone on their travels around europe to watch out for the Hoegaarden Urban Oasis (which was in London earlier in the summer, and manchester for the past couple of weeks) where the race finished up on Saturday.

A crazy & fantastic bar, built of turf on an area of derelict land in the city, serving free Hoegaarden until they run dry! (less than an hour on Friday evening in manchester, we missed out )


this is just an idea of what it looks like, manchester one looked far better in its derelict location.

This urban experience will be open to visitors over the course of 1 week to interact with and enjoy. The installation will take the form of a natural pub that grows out of a turf carpet. All the top surfaces including the Hoegaarden bar will be covered in grass and some of the tables and chairs will be at different stages of growth. Signs around the installation will read; "Keep on the grass" and the jukebox will be playing sounds from nature as opposed to the latest chart music.
