Anyone else providing competition on the Saunders next weekend? Im doing the Carrock with Joe Mercer, Luke Parker's also doing it. Lets hope the weather's better than last year...bring it on!

First control on Haystacks? We had an evening event up there a couple of weeks ago! Magic area with tarnlets all over the place. I didn't actually do as I was saving energy for the LAMM.

Weather was a bitch last year esp on top of the Old Man. Still well enjoyed myself tho.

The weather forecast for the weekend is looking a bit better than last year - try http://www.mwis.org.uk and under forecasts there is a Cumbrian Fells report, with a summary for the weekend on page 2. It really can't be as bad as last year...

Anyone else think that midcamp is likely to be Wasdale? Looks like the most suitable area heading south from Borrowdale.

The event was great. Weather was OK, cool at times, mist/low cloud on Saturday. Lots of climb. Lovely part of the Lake District.... but I would say that. Results are http://www.slmm.org.uk/

A lot of orienteers amongst the top five teams on many of the classes. Well done!
