From BOF website
Members
BOF has about 130 member clubs in its 12 regional association areas. About half of these are closed, e.g. University clubs, the other half have open membership and in addition there are over 200 BSOA member schools. The total membership is approximately 9,000 individuals, classified as Senior, Junior or Family units. Although membership has been falling in recent years the participation in the sport has remained almost constant. Many participants are just club members or even casual runners.
