Was it a Noper?
Last Monday we were at The Leadership Trust in Ross on Wye, and spotted a silver focus in the car park with an O car sticker plus a Wold Cup Sticker. This car was purchased from a garage in Matlock. Any ideas?

If you can let mme have the number plate I can run a police check for you. You can't be too careful.
All right, you scrawny beanpoles: becoming a cop is not something that happens overnight. It takes one solid weekend of training to get that badge.

Right. I think you will find that Bournemouth does not have a high street. In fact some years ago the council decided that the policy would be to have no streets because it was deemed too down market. Quite right of course. Plenty of avenues and groves, but no streets. The one blot on the landscape is Orchard Street, but that is very short and will be removed as soon as is practicable.
See Bendover, you just haven't lived in Bournemouth long enough. It's a local town for local people, we'll...

..on the defensive eh? We might start wondering if you really did see the aforementioned bearded sandle wearers. After all it's a well know fact you can't buy a thumb compass in the Bournemouth branch of Blacks.

Best bet's to use it to thumb a lift out of there. Sounds like a lot of interbreeding goes on..

Actually, to be fair, Bournemouth is a fantastic place to go on holiday. Having grown up there I do take the kids there several time most years (lucky them). In the middle of a heatwave then it really is the perfect location.
It's just a bit of a shame that the orienteering possibilities don't seem to be so hot around Swanage where the hills and views are more significant. Neither WIM nor WSX seem to have any events around Shell Bay, Studland or Swanage... So may be the NT won't give permission (?)

I prefer B'mouth in the rain when the beaches are empty and you have them to yourselves. Now Studland, Swanage and Shell Bay. Many memories. I did A level Geog course work on Studland area.
Have to say recent memories are of 11 days of rain camping outside Swanage with two youngish children. Finding somewhere in the evening wasn't easy

bournemouth is great if you like stag and hen parties. beach is pretty good but as mentioned before too busy. new forest is great. studland isn't the easiest place to get to without a car.
as for thumbs... well...
