It really is a dreadful interview. I would't put it in my magazine. He really cannot believe the guy took up golf because he wanted to and not for some ulteria career motive - guess it's another old persons sport like orieteering.

It's a question and answer style interview conducted by SB with some Jap bloke he was at college with in the 70s who was obviously very good and did a load for the sport but who largely dropped out of the sport when he took up some high powered job for Sony I think it might be the same bloke who conducted the opening ceremony at the World Masters last year which Mr H. and I went to. SB is incredulous that he took up golf during his years in America and assumed he must have done it for career reasons but the bloke says he likes anything outdoors and reals off a list of other stuff he does - its pretty banal - I'm surprised Suse gave it a double page spread. I wonder if SB has a high powered job.
