a good swedish (orienteering) friend of mine who's family own a summer house in borlange is wondering who has bought the house close by... apparently its some british orienteers whose son was born in the late 70's and used to be in the national team...

I thought it not very likely that the Sjögren's would actually own a summer house in Borlänge. Since I'm curious I had to check and it seems the summer house is actually in Fjällgrycksbo north of Bjursås, some 60 kilometers from Borlänge. (Assuming of course that we are talking about the same people and the same house.) That location also makes a lot more sense, I mean who would like to have a summer house in Borlänge???

anyway, whats wrong with borlange? i'd love to live in a town with a huge juvenile detention centre.

Nothing really, have lived here most of my life. It's just that summer house to me means some kind of rural area. Outside Borlänge seems more likely.
But englishmen are strange people, perhaps you have your summer house in Birmingham or Manchester?

a summer house in birmingham. how about it eddie, lets invest 30quid on some 'modern penthouse apartments' in an 'up and coming area' like castle vale or sheldon heath...
we could advertise them - 'river views' (the tame! nice!), local charm (stars newsagents, sunday league football/turf warfare, razor wire), local entertainment and great shopping (the fort retail park - JJB sports, HMV, the shoe wharehouse).
we could make millions. screw the algarve.

and it would be quite convenient for the JK this year too. From your description, Sheldon Heath seems to have gone down hill a little since I lived near there
