I'm cycling from Inverness to Glasgow before the JK and I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere cheapish to stay in or near these places:
Dalwhinnie
Killin
Aberfoyle
and then in Glasgow as the Youth Hostel's shut.
Any ideas?

There are several bunk houses in Newtonmore and Kingussie, a wee bit before Dalwinnie right enough, The B - B at Drumochter is about the same distance south from dalwinnie as Newtonmore is to the North. Alternatively bivvy it, or go on the Distilery tour of the Dalwinnie Distillery, get proper bevvied on the tasters and fall asleep in the grounds, cheap night all round.
I once stayed in a bunk house dorm next to the youth hostel in Glasgow (the one beside Kelvin Grove park) which was pretty spot on however not sure if that is halls of residence during term time.
None of these are as good as the 5 star hotel I stayed in in Kuwait last night, massage, cook to order meals jet bath in the room and balcony over looking the Gulf, Have it the perks of business, now on the free bar at the BA executive lounge heathrow, I'll have a drink to [nope] for you all!

You can't expect to reach the top without a little climbing!

It's a Sustrans route...thought I'd get some relaxatrion in after my hefty exams coming up. It seems to take in all my favourite places south of Inverness so it'd be quite fun i reckon.

Whaddaya reckon? Newtonmore to Pitlochry doable in a day? We're only doing Aviemore to Newtonmore the day before so can can take in my favourite places slowly so that'll be a short day.
