Whos got the biggest SPAM problem ?

Normally I get about 50 a day which outlook filters out for me, however
Im grappling with one of my suppliers who cocked up a bulk email yesterday.
First they included about 500 email address's in the TO: field.
Then their mail server went nope up and keeps sending them again and again and again to all the recipients

So far in the last 24 hours Ive had approx 900 emails from them at 270K each. Do the math’s its not pleasant even with a filter on......

Oh dear Out of interest stodge - why does so much go through the JK e-mail accounts (which ofcourse get through to us because they are re-directed under an innocent JK address) The day 1 organiser says they are all coming from the Campsite address - have they sussed that me and Mr H. needs loans to pay for our massive viagra habit and addiction to Rolex watches

email address's that appear on websites are harvested by nice people who then sell the lists to even nicer people who send you interesting emails.

There is a Anti SPAM filter I can send you the instructions on how to use for the JK email address's but you have to be careful of False Negatives and loss of mail

Also, anyone with a domain will get huge amounts of spam.

and how, pray guest, would a hotmail account prevent spam disguised as legitimate JK Campsite email getting through to my otherwise perfectly adequate private e-mail address? I doubt very much it's that clever

i think, or at least i hope, guest was being sarcastic.

try having about 10 email addresses and 4 domains. now that is spamtastic

incidentaly, for the web geeks among you, i have recently found this tool -

to be very useful. it scrambles your email address into random code, which you can put on your website. it will link to your address properly, but will not show up as an email address to the robots which scan sites for addresses.

At last - managed to configure my ISPs antispam to stop them without risking losing anything else!
I think I had over a thousand by the time I stopped it.....
