Just wondering if you could do me a big favour and download a journal article or two, since apparently Edinburgh & Leeds subscribe and Newcastle doesn't, so you should be able to just go in and get them and I can't.
Anyway, if someone could go to http://portal.acm.org and then "digital library" "newsletters" "acm sigmod record" "archive" then from vol. 19 issue 4 (December 1990) get the articles "research issues in spatial databases" ( p61-68 ) and "temporal databases status and research directions" ( p83-89 ) as pdf or postscript files, save them and e-mail them to e.j.nash@ncl.ac.uk as an attachment then that would be worth at least one or two beers...
Yes I do know about copyright. It allows me to ignore it better.
