Varsity Varsity Varsity
It's that time of year again guys...the most important orienteering event in the world ever. In two weeks time comes the Annual Oxford Cambridge Varsity Match and we want to know who you're backing. Oxford girlies are looking strong but the Men's could be wide open. I have a sneaky suspicion we're looking at another Oxford clean sweep, though does CUOCs secretive team selection mean they have a surprise up their sleeves? 2 weeks to go and counting...
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Girlie wise: Rosemary Dyer, Allie Ingleby, Blanka Sengerova...not sure who else. Blokies - Mark Bown maybe, Alan Elder, Niall Invareity (not sure how you spell it) and crazy bum bag man. Dirty bunch of Tabs the lot of 'em.

Well I know for certain that Marky Bown won't be running for CUOC, he hasn't been a member for a year or two now...currently studying in sheffield and a member of the mighty. Anyway his brother does a bit of orienteering when he has to...as shown by the gorrilla suit at the sprint-o. I hear Fed has been training like a maniac, so my moneys probably on him unless he goes awol.

Strength in depth is the key here, me thinks. and with only 1 tab running in their mens "selection race"!? You know where that trophy's going to end up.

Oxford wise we have Pippa Whitehouse, CJ, Kat Asker, Anne Osbourne and me. Blokies isn't yet selected, could be any from Ed Catmur, (not incidentally training like a bastard at the mo), Tom Cochrane, Chris Millard, Alex Rothman, Neil Cumpstey, Chris Davidson, Nick Pilsbury, Luke Woodward and maybe even a few surprises. Have it!

unfortunately i agree that oxford are likely to win this year... but you have missed out a couple of strong (?) cambridge orienteers.
just remember when the varsity match was on a real orienteering area in sweden and we kicked your asses!!

ben>>> Blanka was a green monster who could curl up into a ball and deal out an electric shock. unluess ofcourse both fighters were blanka, then the second one would be blue, and could curl up into a ball and deal out an electric shock. fantastic game.
Oxford to win

Clean sweep..? You appear to be forgetting The JOK Trophy [beer race for those not in the know], which we will defend with all our might :-)
