Big Up (perhaps) to
name: Paul Turner
age: 45
club: SELOC
it seems he's been to about 150 permanent O courses (this could well be wrong, i just searched for his name on the page and got it that many times) - i didn't even realise there was that many! is he going for some record? does anyone know this guy? it's pretty immense the lengths he's going to to pursue his quest for POC domination.
and if anyone was wondering why i was this bored it was cos i was checking to see if anyone had done the edinburgh ones yet. but yeah, i am quite bored.

yep paul turner is an absolute legend.
I spent ages entering and modifying his information for the new and improved automatic permanent system for compasssport.
lets go on a permanent holiday weekend where we take in all the courses that are in that country below us!

thats mental mate can we do them all in one go making it surely the biggest permamnet o course in the world.
crazy stuff like this is the preserve of people who try and run up the highest peaks in england, wales and scotland and hitch in between.
but if someone has send an e-mail to news@nopesport.com
cause there is bound to be some crazyness on that journey
could be the delve into the past part of nopesport like good old ken broad in compass sport

This smells suspiously like a possable attempt to feature in the guinness book of records! what a Great Idea.
The website (http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/) dosen't throw up any results when you enter orienteering.
The mind boggles!

Nothing to do with o, but me and my sister were going to do all the Welsh 3000 footers in one day! You start walking about 5am and finish at 11pm, we saw it in the Trail mag. Mental! The man who walked it bought all this light weight kit and just drank some kind of high sugar energy syrup all day.
anyways, we never did it, cos we didn't go walking in the summer, maybe next summer!

hummm
we should do exaclty that, samsonite, get a team nope together, get NOPE in the big book! (and Im not talking about the bible)
So if there aren't already any records for orienteering, could this be Mr. Turner's motivation?
It would be pretty funny if someone beat him to it...

not quite so epic but we were going to do (probably still will do at some point) an epic o course with a few controls on some of the edinburgh areas, starting at the seat, could go to blackford, craiglockhart, corstorphine & then finishing in princes st gardens. any form of transport between them was to be allowed.
