Uber Geek Computing Question

Has anyone got an Apple airport extreme or express??

CAn I use it to network 2 computers together, or not??

Anyone know??

extreme yes express no

u need an airport extreme basestation and wirless cards in the 2 computers. may only work with macs.

express is used to pick up signals from the card in the mac and send it to your stereo to play itunes

you don't need to have macs to use the extreme base station but they are difficult to configure without a mac, so borrow a mac to configure it then use pc's!

apparently so.

some article i read said that if you put "macs are gay" and "PCs are gay" into google, macs get more results.

so there.

and theyre not gay, they just take pride in their appearance ;)

i have one too, and one at work, and im about to purchase another one very similar to yours from ebay (they are only 50 quid including postage and packing now. new server here we come.

That is in fact OS8.1 running full screen using a nifty application called Basilisk II. All these puzzle games in Banter got me nostalgic for some mac retro gaming from 1995 (Back when I had a mac). It runs well, apparantly about 70-90% of the speed it would run on a mac the spec of your pc. Considering OS8 was designed to run on a 20MHz 68040 my 1500MHz Pentium M has no problem. I can access the PC hard drives as well which is cool. Finding programs isn't easy though.
