just wrote a reply on the discussion board that got me thinking...
you can drink 24 hrs a day in the burgh, but i have never done it. i think i have done about 20 hours, but some of that was at a party in the early hours, and about 36 hours with about 2 hrs kip in the middle, but never 24 hrs straight.
what do you say to a wee competition. get the sheffield folk up (and anyone else that fancies it) 4 the weekend, drink from say 9pm friday to 9pm saturday, then sleep, then a race on the sunday. settle the score once and for all.
could be very very funny and i reckon it would be pretty close.
whos hard enough then?

Done a 24hr drinking seesion in edinburgh. Was good banter, wee tip of going to darios pizza place and sit in coz thats the only way you get served from 3am til 5am (that we knew of) then you get food at the same time which helps you through til the morning. Then its off to the penny black!

24 hr carnage
I did a 24hr drinking sesh in Edinburgh when I got my results last year, started in the KB union then Moo Bar then Graduation ball at the Shereton then Opal lounge for a wee bit af a lock in/ staff drinks then it was a Casino in Leith where they are open till 6am if your playing, so that was the score, play to drink, then it was the Penny Black which I think is actually open at 5.30 where we paid for drinks with two pence pieces from a coin jar we had knicked from some birds house party along the way somewhere in Newtown, then it was the scotsman and then it was the cop shop as we (almost) got lifted for breach of the peace as we were car running and I'd probably taken a dump on a car roof to be fair, and we were throughing bathroom tiles across the road at some boys house so he called the police and I got put in the back of the cop car for telling the police woman to make me a cup of tea, then I got let off cause I pleaded that I was an upstanding citizen and it would blemish my outstanding record of service in the TA if they were to charge me, then I remembered I had to go to my Viva (interview thing for my final result) so went along drunk and didn't get the extra 3% to bring me up from a 2:1 to a 1st, not to worry though, at least I made it to the viva even if I was fookoed! Then it was another couple in KB before passing out! Think I got up the next day and started again? and soon after that was the Hungarian Kupa 5 days with Roberts, Dids and Jock, more banter!
Think the Casino's the place to go in the dead hours of 3 to 5 like boys, have a good one, it can be done.
