dont think ya can really blame any of them one things......ok, it was a good game but we lost.....why dya have to blame ppl......you could of blamed rooney 4 bein injured or nethin......so well done portugal n we'll jus have to try harder next time.........i think every1 in the team played quite good....n everyone had to use the pen spot so every1 still had equal disadvantage.......
so all im sayin is go portugal -- im supportin them now

i would blame your whole team of "we fuckin rock" guys who sat back and took it after scoring early, and also making the mistake of thinking that extra time would go in your favour. extra time will never go in engalnds favour cos for some reason you always lose that way.
should have kept the pressure on.
nae luck
your going home, your going home, your going, englands going home.

aye samsonite exactly. rewards go to attacking play, not trying to defend a one-nil lead for 80 odd minutes... ask the other boring teams like the italians or germans. they're also going home - shame.
england were unlucky last night after dragging themselves back into the game in injury time, but y'know, you can always blame the penalty spot, the disalowed goal, beckham, the referee, etc etc...

Scottish I assume? And where are your team?
Disallowed goal etc etc blah blah. In the end it came down to pot luck penalties and we lost again. I make that we've lost 4/5 in the last 15 years on penalty shoot outs. I thought our luck was going to be in this time.

Let's face it, England were better in this tournament than they have been in a long time, but they simply weren't good enough. Basic things like passing the ball accurately, keeping possession, making scoring chances count and playing as if they believe they can win were just not there consistently enough. There were moments of real joy when it came together, but it is a team sport - it needs to be together for 90 minutes from all the players. I think England reached about the right level for the skill they showed - better than many but not the best.

look at the first header of the disallowed goal. The one that bounced off the bar. Terry was clearly offside the cheeky bugger.
