A SPECIAL meeting of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority is taking place tomorrow.
The authority's Urgent Business Committee is meeting to discuss an application to hold a "mountain marathon" in the park.
The two day event — planned for October — is expected to attract around 2,800 competitors, who will navigate between checkpoints.
The committee will discuss issues around the staging of the event, including environmental impact, increased traffic and economic benefits.
The meeting starts at 1pm in Plas-y-Ffynon, Brecon."
Any other MM being held in Oct other than OMM?

Re: OMM 2013
NPAs have a habit of doing this - for the Dartmoor one a couple of years ago they published the details of the start location and overnight camps during their consultation on the plans. Given the likely impact of an event such as the OMM on the local area, it's fair enough.
