currently i'm listening to possibly my favourite album of the year, martyn bennett - grit, truely crazy beatastic and very diverse, being placed highly on many 'folk' album of the year charts but is very hard to pigeonhole. genre-ization is absolute rubbish anyway...
top albums of 2003 in a bit of but not really any particular order other than the order that they currently come to mind in a top 12 fashion (although the top 3 are my top3 full stop):
martyn bennett - grit
postal service - give up
snow patrol - final straw
simple kid - simple kid #1
zwan - mary star of the sea
aereogramme - sleep and release
yo la tengo - summer sun
arab strap - monday at the hug and pint
mogwai - happy songs for happy people
do make say think - winter hymn country hymn secret hymn
yeah yeah yeahs - fever to tell
radiohead - hail to the theif
thats all i can think of just now...

Martyn Bennet
got to agree with Brooner on Martyn Bennet's grit, it's rare, there are a few mp3 remixes on wis web site, http://www.martynbennet.com not bad, not bad at all, the old boy lived in Kingussie for a time going to the same school as Jock, Ewan and Myself. Some guy.
As for other types of music, I have been listening to the old school "stone roses" "The stone roses" a classic,
also Bo Selecta "proper Chrimbo" which the wee bro kindly sent out for chrimbo, festive flavour.
However most of my day is taken up listening to the Muslims singing the Kuran at prayer time from the mosques, gun battle fire fights and bombs going off, thats this months flovour!
