I think you are correct. If you look at the routegadget link above, the car is the X on the map (control 13 on Course 14 for example) for the SOL at Loch Vaa in 2008.
Unfortuantely the Clyde picture archive on the web doesnt go back that far - there was a picture of the control on our old site which would have confirmed it!

Yep it is indeed the Loch Vaa abandoned car! Good spot.

The spider hanging out on the grill of an Audi Quattro.
The snowboarder getting an almighty faceshot.
The idea with the car being that if you know where that is, your are also an orienteering connoisseur :0)
