They pick up the "news" agenda from the papers.

I think the BBC got to this one first. Bit irrelevant, though, as all the journalists have been very good about referencing the Mintel press release they got the idea from.
I dread to think what snappy acronym Mintel would come out with if they were asked to do some market research on orienteers.

You can't beat a good looking man in lycra... although I wouldn't mind trying.
One of the sad things about orienteering is that there is just too much nylon and not enough lycra.
