Backwards running
Perhaps not a technique that will transfer well to orienteering, but is anybody else considering entering this?

It hurts too much (was forced once to do this while carrying a rucksack) .... though perhaps with a little training...!!

Do you think a Rugby League player would do well as they spend a lot of the game running backwards after tackles to get into the defensive line?
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Singles badminton involves a lot of backwards running.
