give the guy his money, he put a hell of a lot of work into it, during his final year at university no less, and deserves to be compensated for it, it's only £20 and its well worth it you stingy [nope]'s
tell your folks it will help develop your orienteering skills or something...
Catching Features

Tried that with my folks - they weren't having any of it after the time I wasted on a copy this holiday...I shall therefore be waiting for the wondrous student loan to arrive and splurging accordingly.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Ah the student loan!
10 days to go boys and girls...
Cathcing features is good for certain o techniques especially before you learn "to play the game" as it were. I would recommend it for beginners to o and its good for the symbols and teaches teh importance of orientating the map.
For intermeadiates its good for visualisation and coutour features and check off features on a bearing.
For advanced its really good for flow. You WILL lose so much time if you don't know where you're going next!!!! Much like in real life. Stopping for 3 seconds a leg over a 30 leg course will set you 5 mins down in catching faetures!!! Even if you have an absolute storma. And try the southern cheswichford map it is a real beast!
