thought I was going to miss the first England game but my Scot Sprints start isn't till 16:11 so I can go watch it

- might be a bit of a rush to the start at full time!

Anyone up for finding a pub in Dalbeattie? That's assuming the Scots will show it

England for the WC? They'll have to play as a team to have any chance, and they don't have many strikers if Crouch and Owen don't perform. Maybe without Rooney they'll have another game plan, unlike Euro 2004 when they looked ordinary after his injury.

I won't be joining the "anyone but England" brigade, but if there was an "anyone but England commentators" movement, I'd sign up on the spot :roll:

2 Days to go till the big kick off!!! anyone else got themselves in the spirit? Well up for it gonna be awsome. Prediction for 1st game:

England 2-0 Paraguay
Lampard and Terry.

Anyone heard on the radio about the car flags? Supposedly for every hour you drive with one of them it costs an extra Â£1 pound in petrol!!! Anyone got any of the flags? I mean i'm up for it and a big eng fan but a flag out my window is more than enough.

Locally we are being asked not to fly flags in the rural areas as it frightens the horses!! Instead being asked to use magnstic stick-on flags. A local firm has recently hit the jackpot selling these. Wonder if there is any connection!!!

So England are in poll position in the group now the T&T drew with Sverige. Dwight York is a legend. :boosch:

Now all we have to do is beat them and we're through to the knock out stages. Lets hope Sven doesn't try to do his countrymen a favour and play Hargreaves.

So, Sweden and T&T need to beat Paraguay by more than 1:0, and then they both only need a draw with England to put England into 3rd place!

Sounds like very wishful thinking to me. When we beat T&T we'll already have qualified for the second round, and Sweden will draw with paraguay, giving us first place
