well i just found stef's posted from the same IP as pie. though it also told me ive posted from the same IP as stef and many others... confused. but only stef from pie's IP.

IP numbers must be a bit dodgy and inconclusive tho' That's like assuming that Neville is me (although generally the IP should be different they could just as easily be interchangeable) It doesn't necessarily mean it's stef - it could be a derranged sibbling called Piestephoney (I think that's probably too clever for most of you )

IP numbers can and do change. They are not a certain way of identifying people, but can give a good clue. From Carol's comment it seems that the IP Pie posted from is the same as the IP the Stef often posts from (and, if this IP is linked to a specific place (school), then it gives a strong likelihood of the right person having being identified).

Some of the confusion of IP numbers is caused by people being able to post from several places (i.e. I have posted to Nope from home, work, and my parents - though not logged in from the later two).

i must also admit at this point that i was very disappointed that after months of silence, "bexter" was revealed to be someone quite different to who we were (almost certainly) all secretly hoping it might turn out to be.
