I was considering going to see MI3. I thought maybe with the limited scope of a 2hr movie, compared to a (potentially) open-ended TV series, JJ might actually write an intelligible plot. And resolve it.
But maybe "Tom Cruise action movie" and "intelligible plot" are mutually exclusive. Perhaps I should just turn my brain off and enjoy the pretty pictures. Who needs escapism you have to think about!

MI3 is just like any other action movie, just they seem to have managed to base it on actually no plot whatsoever. its cool, but really there is no plot. you don't really know why the bad guy is bad, why the good guy is good, what the bad guy's plan is or even what the ultra-destructive weapon is!
having said that it has simon pegg in it so therefore it rules

Sorry bedders only just picked up your request on my return! Will pencil you in for the next one. The meringues were worth it though. Not so sure about 'Lost' - bit of a non event tonight or am I seeing it through a Shiraz haze and missed the vital bits?

Oh My God! You Killed Shannon! You... meh. Never really cared much for her. Who's next on the list of "superfluous characters to be arbitrarily killed"? My money's on Hurley. Or the next non-credited chracter to get a line of dialogue. Bad move on Anna's part though. The one person you don't want to piss off is Iraqi torture guy.
I wonder if all the flashbacks will link together. Other than them all ending up on the same flight of course. I'm pretty sure I Dr. Jack was in the background to one of the hospital scenes (and I think it was Mrs. Dr Jack in the other car). Jack's story links to Sawyer via a piss-up with Dr. Dad, and to Anna via a drink in the airport bar. Obviously Walt/Michael, Jin/Sun, Boone/Shannon have big parts in each other's stories (and I guess we could add Rose/Bernard to that list), Hurley owns Locke's box company, Locke's a big fan of Driveshaft. Sawyer was in the police station when Boone came in there. Any more links?
I also wonder if a clinical psychologist knows what a Skinner box is...

Yeah i was just starting to tolerate her. Her and Boone were quite annoying from the bits of last series i caught... But yeah poor Sayid, built a tent, and loses his girl. gutted.

I've just watched the episode I missed midweek! It's turning in to real Lord of the Flies stuff. How ironic that the tailers should be responsible for Shannon's death just when we get to liking her. Boone didn't come off well, in league with the evil stepmother. So why did the Others take the kids? Apparently this week we find out the tailers story. It's hotting up again!

Ethan...Nathan..I was beginning to think it was an 'an' thing until it turned out that Goodwin was 'an'other and not Nath'an' - there goes 'an' other good conspiracy theory. So what will we discover in 'An'na Lucia's shady background (aagh! another 'an'!) There was a definite hesitation before she 'an'swered the question about kids ? And why did Mr Eko not speak for 40 days? When he did speak I couldn't hear him...
