The football, ah ... Haven't felt so gutted after a game since Brazil. Once again a couple of errors cost us the game. Although the way Zidane put the chances away was stunning. Can't fault James for either goal though

Even though it was gutting, I don't think the result is that important unless it breaks the squad spirit. This wasn't the important game in the qualifying group. I think France were always going to qualify out of the group (esp after World Cup), the games we've NEEDED to win from the outset were against Croatia and Switzerland. That England team played well enough to match France in open play, for once they showed they could break a team down, on that showing we should beat C & S and qualify. We did play the best footie I've seen England play for ages, and the team aren't about to get compacent now ...
The down side of losing that game (other than just feeling crap) is that we now HAVE to win, we don't have space for any more hiccups. And if we do qualify, we're now probably in the Spain and Italy stream
hmm. We're going to have to do it the hard way. Come on England!
