Yep I saw horizon - given the dramatic claims fo percentage light loss being made - I'm amazed it is such a little know phenomenon. I agree with kitch that the planet may have ways of sorting itself out to some extent - but they may not be comfortable. e.g. the dillusion of saline in the north atlantic due to polar melt switching off the gulf stream as formed the basis of "The Day after Tomorrow". Comic book stuff maybe - maybe not
