Trebor, do you not remember that Nick Barrable wrote a sort of "ode to dobbspikes" for Ad Hoc back in 2000/2001? Haven't got a copy, but don't remember him rhyming it with "knobs" G, even if you do in your poetry. Was the first time I'd heard of them (dobbs I mean)
