i dont quite get the point in having the post count system.......cos doesnt it jus make ppl wanna post more?? n from what i can see, every1's post count has been altered anyway, well the top few anyway.....

my post count in 250 (not countin this 1) n yet wen lookin for my posts...the search finds 251

an wen searching on brooner's profile (post count 1099) it only finds 848

when we post in a private forum it doesnt show on your public search.
thats why the numbers do not match.

as you can see ive posted a lot in the private forums.

well i knew he had but theres quite a few ppl with odd post counts so i couldnt wrk out how they'd all been altered , if they had....

The basic justification behind post counts is that they provide an easy way to tell who contributes more to the forums. This means newcomers get a good idea of who is worth listening to without having to read a huge backlog of posts. Giving moderators the ability to alter post counts helps this system to work by allowing them to cut the count of spammers.
