Scottish National Anthem?

I would not approve of any Burns song being used - then again I seem to be among the minority of Scots who do not like Burns whatsoever! I would also be in favour of Scotland The Brave, with no disrespect to the Corries Flower O' Scotland is probably more of a political statement than a National Anthem in my eyes - as much as I do love it I'd feel it slightly aggressive in nature.

Actually one of the better football "anthems" for the world cup, pity the performances on the park weren't as good

You Scots do seem to have a nice line in tuneful and poignant football songs. This is another classic (can't find the full version online anywhere, but the sample gives a good taste).

English football music, on the other hand, mostly consists of some players shouting, often accompanied by a middle-aged comedian or two who used to be famous ten years ago .

How about the Proclaimers 500 miles as an anthem for the World Orienteering Champs in Scotland in 2015. You just need to substitute 2015 for 500miles - try it
