Re: TAKAS 2009
Easy to get here from UK
1. Use http://www.ryanair.com to Kaunas in Lithuania & pick up a hire car or get the bus. It's around 90 min drive to Klaipeda then 10 mins on ferry.
2. Use http://www.ryanair.com to Riga in Latvia... about 3 hours by car.
3. Use http://www.airbaltic.com from Gatwick.... about 3 hours by car.
Palanga on the main land is the summer capital of Lithuania...
The terrain at Nida is some of the best anywhere...
Various tourist guides available at http://www.inyourpocket.com

Re: TAKAS 2009
Hi Gross
Do you have any idea when the races will commence on the 19th and finish on the 22nd? Is travel to and from the UK and racing viable on these days or would it need to be day before and day after job in order to race?
Cheers

Normally would expect a late afternoon start on Friday & early finish on Sunday....
Ryanair have a flight Stanstead to Kaunas arriving at 1135 on Friday & one departing at 2235 on Sunday........

Just starting to get my head around this one now - any thoughts on the best kind of accommodation?
