14th february, lake district, sunny weather, went up old man of coniston. i asked the tourist guy how long to walk up and back..."4 hours". what if you are young and fit and just going up, down,... "4 hours, it takes me 4".
so 4 hours on the pay and display, but after completing it in 2.5 hours and having a pint, left with half an hour still on the ticket. amazing weather and views, a taster follows with coniston and windermere(?) in the background. good winter travels.
