Im going to Venice on the 16th and heard that they have the city mapped for street-o. It would be fun to run round it, even if i do have to dodge tourists, but i haven't found a copy of the map.
Does anybody have one or know where i could get one?

But it's a pity it clashes with the Eyam Moor National Event this year.

EasyJet is usually a good option from the midlands. East Mids to Venice flights are reasonably priced. You can do Friday to Monday for an relaxing extended weekend, or just go out Saturday and back Sunday to do the main race only.
Anywhere within the city is within walking (or ferry) distance of the event centre. I highly recommend this place, but there are plenty of other good hotels and apartments.

There's a good review of the Venice race, for those of you that haven't done it before, on his website. http://www.maprunner.co.uk/content/view/31/183/

LOT,
best our, newly appointed, tour organiser has found is £98 for the flights (BA) but none of the budget air lines are listing dates that far in advance yet. We are looking to take 10-13 from the Club - can't wait!
hop fat boy, hop!

Yeah, agree. November in Venice is amazing.

Re: Venice
I have lived in Italy for 19 years and I think I am the only person in the world who hates Venice… it is the prototype of the destructive effects of tourism and consumerism. If instead you want to do something different and unique and unspoiled go to south Italy. There are so many places and fascinating, ancient towns which are still relatively undiscovered by the outside world. If I want to buy a house in Italy, I will go south.
