We're off to the Canadian Champs in a week. Does anyone know if there are any relevant maps online?
e.g. Gatineau Park, Carleton University, Carp Ridge/Hidden Meadow, Carp Hills, National Research Council (NRC) Campus.

Re: Canadian Orienteering Champs
The Canadian Champs Long Race was on a new area, and a type of terrain I haven't seen outside of Scandinavia. It was a great area to run on, and the map was spot on. Unfortuantely I made two stupid mistakes (looking for 3 before I'd found 2, and going to 16 instead of 13 at a crossover). Despite that, it was really enjoyable.
Here's the map on Routegadget: Carp Ridge - The Barrens

I haven't seen terrain like that, even in Scandinavia.
It looks like you needed to use some of your urban race techniques to avoid getting stuck down dead ends between lakes.
That would catch most Scandies out as they just tend to follow the red line!
